highlights of the past few:
- made pancakes from scratch and didn't taste too shabby at all (apart from the first one which was waaaaay too burnt), especially with blueberries, ice cream and maple syrup, yum yum. first pancakes, then the world!
- new zealand - a lovely blast, what with sunset kayaking, whitewater rafting and glacier walking. must get around to putting batteries in the camera and photos on the com

lowlights of the past few:
- odd case of food poisoning or just something not right yesterday, threw up six times which was on the whole quite unpleasant and frightening (actually it was more annoying after a while but i guess you get that)
- stomach crampage

at last, new zealand and freedom are 1 1/2 days away; i can almost taste the sheep. birthday and christmas over in a whirlwind of wrapping paper, bath-themed gifts and books, as well as a cardboard cutout of some dogs (life-size) with my mum's note along the lines of: "i'm not ready to get you a real puppy yet, but here, cardboard is a great substitute."
anyway its 10am and packing/cleaning up the minefield that is my room calls. merry christmas.

ok ok ok so there was a lot of crying in the last few days of school. jesus was there crying haha... in maths, in english, in the chapel service, after the chapel service, saying 'see you next time' to my music teachers, in the countdown (note the absence of french from crying list).... lots of wetness emanating from eyes. i thought i took excessive amounts of photos in that week but noooo other people have upwards of 500, so i think i'll gracefully surrender that throne.
meanwhile...
woohoo for holidays and bad habits of sleeping at 1 30, waking up at 9 and getting up at 10. woohoo for the return of alias in the us, maha. and doubleplus woohoo for coldplay in australia next june, only major doubleplus bummer if thea doesn't get the tickets also major doubleplus bummer because tickets are upwards of thea's current budget, but oh well. more woohoo for harry potter 4 the movie coming out in november (but book three was the best, only gary oldman was a weird sirius, which turned me off, and what was with getting rid of oliver wood? come on, that's like your entire teenage female audience gone). major doubletripleplus bummer for exams in 1 1/2 weeks (fark a darrk) but major tripletripleplus woohoo for end of exams in three weeks after that.
voila, summary of thea's life for the past month.

so i had a concert this morning, and i completely forgot about it. i also forgot my violin, haha. how does one forget that they have a concert? how odd. it escapes me. folded at least... 5, no maybe closer to 10 paper cranes today, woohoo for peace day. in year 5 or year 6 we had origami sessions, and i was sitting next to lilian fan, and even though she knew how to fold cranes i never got the hang of it, even though we sat there for like... an entire afternoon. good times. but woohoo because thea can now fold paper cranes (albeit really really dodgy ones with appallingly crooked necks). 3rd woohoo of the entry for only 4 days left of school. (i say four because i count thursday =P school is school guys, we still have to show up). can't say i'm particularly sad... perhaps to a certain extent (somewhat, effectively, ultimately - for those in my eng class) but meh. im sure there's plenty of love, i'm just not particularly feeling it right now =P ok, a little harsh, muchly lack of colour here (that's a death cab for cutie song).
anyway, the performing arts centre sucks, because the $12m they wasted on it (yes, $12m, as in $12 million) could have been much better spent saving peoples' lives. i hope you all donate your small change (and big notes) to charity. sponsor a child = next year's project (or a village, says bobby, haha), and everyone be vegetarian.
